With John Mercanti’s original heraldic eagle design from 1986 now retired in this series, the 2022 release is all about Emily Damstra’s new vision for the Silver Eagle Series. Created in 2020, her designs brings a more life-like visual to the bald eagle field.

The obverse of 2022 1 oz American Silver Eagles in these tubes feature the historic effigy of Liberty from Adolph A. Weinman. Known as Walking Liberty, it shows Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun near a mountain. Her right hand reaches out toward the sun as her left carries the branches of oak and laurel. Her figure is draped in the American flag as she walks along.
