In the Tudor Beasts Series, the Royal Mint offers designs in both BU and Proof issues. The BU Series features the same options that fans of the Queen’s Beast Series are familiar with. The collection features 1/4 oz and 1 oz gold coins, 2 oz and 10 oz silver coins, and a 1 oz platinum coin.
All of the 2022 1/4 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Lion Coins are available to purchase online in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins arrive in individual plastic flips, unless purchased in select bulk figures. Multiples of 25 come with plastic tubes, while multiples of 500 coins come in a Monster Box. The box holds 20 tubes of 25 coins each. The Lion of England is the first design in the BU range of Tudor Beasts coins from the Royal Mint.
Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse of the 2022 British Gold Tudor Beasts Lion Coins. Her Majesty is shown here in the definitive fifth-generation design for British coins. Created in 2015 by Jody Clark, this effigy shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
