From its introduction in 1986, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle became a popular coin within the series. In several years, the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle outsold the other coins in the collection, including the 1 oz gold coin. In fact, the 1/10 oz and 1 oz gold coin in the American Gold Eagle Series are the only ones to top the mintage list in any given year.
All American Gold Eagle Coins are available to you with 22-karat gold content. The 22-karat gold content of US Mint coins includes 91.67% gold by weight, with the remainder of the metallic alloy in the coins made up of 5.33% copper and 3% silver.
The obverse side of 2022 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coins features an image of Liberty in front-facing relief. This full-length figure of Liberty includes a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. Sun rays are on the horizon in the background with a ring of 50 stars around the design element.
