The 2018 release of the Silver Koala coin marks the 12th annual issue of these coins, but the first time in the program’s history that .9999 pure silver content has been used. Following the 2016 inaugural issue of the Australian Silver Kangaroo with .9999 pure silver, the Perth Mint has been upgrading its Silver Kookaburra and Silver Koala coins to follow suit.
Each 2018 1 oz Australian Silver Koala coin available to you today is in BU condition. Coins in BU condition show no signs of wear and tear, but minor flaws from the production process are possible on the surfaces. These small flaws range from breaks in the luster and spotted surfaces to contact marks.
2018 Silver Koala coins are a great investment with proven reliability in coining, design, and quality from the Perth Mint.
