The 2022 1/4 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Lion Coin is the first BU release in the Tudor Beasts Series from the Royal Mint. Struck in .9999 pure gold, it features Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and the Lion of England supporting the Royal Arms of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour on the reverse. Issued with a £25 face value and backed by the British government, this coin is ideal for both collectors and gold investors.
In the 1/4 OZ Tudor Beasts Lion of England Gold Coin Series, the Royal Mint offers designs in both BU and Proof issues. The BU Series features the same options that fans of the Queen’s Beast Series are familiar with. The collection features 1/4 oz and 1 oz gold coins, 2 oz and 10 oz silver coins, and a 1 oz platinum coin.
All of the 2022 1/4 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Lion Coins are available to purchase online in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins arrive in individual plastic flips, unless purchased in select bulk figures. Multiples of 25 come with plastic tubes, while multiples of 500 coins come in a Monster Box. The box holds 20 tubes of 25 coins each. The Lion of England is the first design in the BU range of Tudor Beasts coins from the Royal Mint.
Queen Elizabeth II is on the obverse of the 1/4 OZ Tudor Beasts Lion of England Gold Coin Tudor Beasts Lion Coins. Her Majesty is shown here in the definitive fifth-generation design for British coins. Created in 2015 by Jody Clark, this effigy shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown.
