Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins feature two security features in the 1 oz silver weight as of 2014. The mint introduced two new features to the coin that year to combat counterfeiters. The coins now have radial lines in the background field on both the obverse and the reverse. Additionally, there is a micro-laser engraved privy mark on the reverse side of the coin. This textured maple leaf comes with the last two digits of the date mark, 22, at the center. You can only see these digits with the aid of magnification.
